Kara-Lis Coverdale’s 2015 set breathes.
But it doesn’t breath air. Instead it inhales and exhales pure color, texture, and light—a must for any pro daydreamer.
Deepchord presents EchoSpace. MUTEK 2011.
This set will make you move and stand still all at once.
Deep is only deep if it has a bottom. EchoSpace’s performance can’t be deep because there is no bottom. It’s limitless.
Leaving you free to float on and on.
Carl Craig. MUTEK 2009.
Carl Craig makes techno. But it is techno with every other genre mixed in.
This 2009 set is a master class in how far you can take your inspirations.
Narod Niki. MUTEK 2003.
Narod Niki is the supergroup created by Ricardo Villalobos.
The mind bending lineup includes Richie Hawtin, Akufen, Dandy Jack, Robert Henke, Dimbiman, Dan Bell, Cabanne, and Luciano.
The set was made on an early edition of Ableton—a relatively new software at the time. But the results are truly future proof.

Karen Gwyer. MUTEK 2015.
This set is equal parts math, equal parts chaos.
Karen Gwyer’s 2015 performance pumps you forwards, backwards, sideways, and down.
But her backbeat is always matched with expert flourish and melody—the spoonful of sugar that helps the medicine go down.
Stefan Goldmann. MUTEK 2014.
This set slips between a midday countryside cruise, a late night ride through downtown and back again.
Stefan Goldman creates all the peaks and valleys a good live set should have.
France Jobin. MUTEK 2014.
If sound creates space then France Jobin has built some of the most spectacular architecture in history.
Her drones make you feel small but safe. Wrap yourself up in them and get warm.
Magnanime. MUTEK 2014.
This set would work at any time of the day. A sunny afternoon outdoors, or 5 am in a club—not an easy feat to pull off.
No matter what time you listen, one thing is true about Magnanime: she understands the moods music creates better than most.
Khotin. MUTEK 2015.
You can’t see it in the photo, but Khotin was wearing sandals during this set.
Which explains his sound quite well—comfortable, breathable and endlessly stylish.
